Energy Trees Launched in Tipperary’s Libaries

Creating a Forest of Energy Ideas

Tipperary County Council is inviting primary school children to submit their energy ideas and tips which will be displayed on energy trees in our public libraries throughout November. The public is invited to visit our libraries and read what our young people have to say about saving energy. Prizes will be offered for the best energy tips.

Participating libraries where the Energy Trees will be in display are Clonmel, Carrick on Suir, Cashel, Roscrea, Nenagh, Templemore and Thurles.

2,000 leaves were circulated to all primary schools and children will be invited to submit their energy ideas for all of us to read on the energy trees when visiting our libraries.

The specially designed wooden trees and leaves were produced in Tipperary demonstrating small businesses commitment to sustainability. The trees were made by My Create based in Cloughjordan Eco Village and the leaves were produced by Lion Print in Cashel.

Participating libraries where the Energy Trees will be on display are Clonmel, Carrick on Suir, Cashel, Roscrea, Nenagh, Templemore and Thurles.
