Energy Efficient Grant Scheme Information Workshop For Schools

Are you a primary or secondary school looking to cut your costs? We are delighted to be holding an Energy Efficient Grant Scheme Information Event for Schools where principals and teachers can hear how they can avail of up to 50% funding through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland’s Better Energy Communities Scheme to carry out energy efficient upgrades on school buildings.

The event will take place in St.Oliver Plunkett National School in Clonmel. In 2016, the school underwent a major energy-saving makeover and received 50% funding through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland’s Better Energy Communities Scheme. The project was managed by Tipperary Energy Agency. Thanks to the energy efficient upgrades, St.Oliver Plunkett National School has already met its 33% improvement in energy efficiency target, ahead of the 2020 schedule. The school is well into the top 50% of schools making energy savings in Ireland. You can read their story here.

During the event you will hear from our engineers who will explain the process of the scheme and the work involved. Attendees will also here from Paul Murphy, Principle of St. Olivers who will speak about his own experience of availing of the funding and why they decided to go ahead with the upgrades.
